Choros was formed by its Musical Director Janet Lincé in 1996 and has built an enviable reputation for the breadth of its repertoire and the high quality of its performances. The members, all experienced singers, are drawn from an extensive area including Warwickshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and London as well as Oxfordshire.
The choir has performed widely throughout the South-East with highly acclaimed concerts in St John’s Smith Square and St Martin-in-the-Fields, London and Guildford Cathedral. Concerts are also given in chapels and concert halls in Oxford as well as small rural churches, often in support of local and national charities. The choir performs in many languages and has a wide repertoire including Renaissance motets, Baroque oratorios, traditional folk-songs and jazz arrangements as well as newly-commissioned works. Singers with strong musical and vocal skills are invited to audition for the choir. www.choros.org
